Suggest you open the case and look for an open hole in the side of the tub somewhere very near the bottom. As long as the element is the only part that has been removed, there should be no other holes (otherwise the machine wouldn't hold water)

I got the tE error code and need to access the thermistor on a LG WM2688H to replace it. I wish there was a video or pictorial taking me step by step.

The thermistor will be located on the heating element. Remove the back panel on the machine to see if the element is not located there first.
To strip down the front of the machine there is a video on youtube which may help, it may be a diiferent machine to yours but should'nt be that much different in the strip down. If you go on youtube and type in LG WASHER DISASSEMBLY you should find one on there by Repair Clinic, this should help you. It does'nt show the thermistor on this video but other videos about a washing machine thermistor will. Only a small bullet type fitted in to the heater element.
Hope this helps.

I have a hotpoint aquarrius WMA 32 My element has gone how do I remove the old one?

Remove lower rear cover of washer, you will see the heater with 2 wires attached to it, and a thing that is called the thermistot, remove 2 heater wires, and loosen center securing nut, prize old heater out with a screwdriver or similar, fit new element and thermistor, reconnect and make sure it is tightened up securely.
Please rate my solution.

How do I remove the heater element.

Unscrew the center nut completely, lever the metal plate as far forward as you can, pull out the thermistor (thermostat) out of the grommet, then get a screwdriver or similar and lever the rubber seal out, be careful not to split it, or you will have to fit a new heater,
Coat the seal with lubricant before trying to refit the element back into the new tub, it is difficult to get back in.
Normally I would fit a new element complete with new seal.
Plz rate my solution.

Good morning.
Error code F03 means that the wash thermistor is open circuit, this means that the water is not getting hot.
You need to fit a new thermistor first of all, if that does not solve the prob, then you will have to fit a new heater element as well.
You will normally find the element and thermistor located at the rear of the m/c.
Access it by removing lower rear panel
To get the parts, go

My 7 year old Malber WD 1000 won't dry - Where to order heating element?

pete5runner back again: The check you should make is to disconnect the two wires to the heating element carefully (with unit unplugged). Then connect a 110 voltmeter to the two wires. The plug in the machine and start a dry cycle. If you see 110 volts on the voltmeter, then you know that power is getting to the heating element, and you have isolated the heating element as defective. If you need a heating element, I got one in NY by calling 718-767-7396. New element was $29, shipping included. I don't know if he will ship to where you are located. Good luck, and let me know what happens.

Washes clothes fine, drying cycle no heat

Hi, I have a Hotpoint WD640 myself and funnily enough I have the same problem. Knowing a tiny bit about washing machines you will probably find that your heating element from the dryer has stopped working. If you can still wash clothes that means that your other heating element for the washing is fine and that your thermostat for the machine is also working. If you need to buy a dryer component may I suggest, I have just bought an element from them and it cost me £27.99 including tax and P&P. May I also suggest that you get a suitably qualified or competant (not saying that you are not) person to fit the element for you as you do not want anything to go wrong with your washing machine. Hope this helps :o)
