Question about Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera

1 Answer

No image message

First time user with a problem getting started. (No manual) I have the camera turned on and set to auto, but all I see is a blue screen with the NO IMAGE message. Tried  pressing all the buttons but no progress. What is the simple thing I am not doing?

It sounds like you are in playback mode with no images on the memory card. There is a dial on the top of the camera that selects cameras mode or playback. The manual is available for download here:

Camera does not work

Sorry, but in a finepix camera, no image normally relates to when you are viewing the pictures you have taken and not in the shoot mode, applogies if i'm wrong, but theres seems no others are posting a solution.

I get a message r13 and the camera does not shoot in AF mode

Try another lens. Make sure the camera is set to AF.

R13 is not an error message - the camera is telling you how many images you can take before the camera has to stop and write to the memory card. Please consult your users manual for further information

Hi,

Error: TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option.

Performing a manual power reset

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings 1

Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.

If the issue persists, service may be required.

Hi,

The exact steps can be provided with the correct model #. The model # starts with "D". How can I turn the flash off on a cannon power shot a400 camera

Your menus will have options to be able to turn off the flash in certain modes.
The camera also has external buttons which will turn the flash on or off. Read your user manual.
The button which has the SET inside has four selectors. The right selector has a flash on/off button to turn the flash on or off. The flash usually will flash when set to flash all the time and not in AUTO mode. The AUTO mode may not allow you to turn off the flash. You probably have to choose another mode to allow the flash to be turned off.

I-40 camera will not go to picture mode and start taking pictures

Have you done the time/date setup? Online manual says it goes auto after 4 minutes, but perhaps the date/time need to be setup first? Online manual here in case you lost your book :)

Flash pictures too blue - optio 750z - help?

Try playing with the exposure compensation lever. Turn it down a few notches when you use flash. I do that all the time to prevent over exposure Or you can set the flash compensation in the setup.
