Hi

Unplugged and try to access inside of the printer, be extra careful because you might damge the sensors. If its hard to get the film around. have it service instead.

Hope this helps

Uneven wear on printer feed roller

Are they printing heavy card stock or envelopes? It seems they might be using a specialty paper or there may be hair wrapped around the other rollers somewhere too.
'
One possible solution is to get the next model year rollers and see if they fit If the manufacturer noted the problem they may have fixed it but are unwilling to acknowledge it publically on the newer models.

Black ink printing on back of paper

Your paper feed rollers have some black ink contamination: wipe the rollers, all around, with slightly moist tissue paper until there are no more ink evidence coming off the rollers. To moisten tissue, warm water with a very small amount of Windex, dish soap or rubbing alcohol does wonder.
Also clean gently around the bottom of the print head assembly to remove any obvious splatters.
Hope i helps.

How to remove ink carriage

1
Ensure that the printer is plugged in and then turn it on by pressing the power button on the control panel.
2
Lift the top cover on the printer to expose the print heads.
3
Press the ink button (has an image that looks like an ink droplet beside it) on the control panel and then release it. The print head carrier will move to an accessible position inside the printer, with the first empty print head stopping under the ink out mark (the ink droplet with the line through it) located just above the carrier.
4
Press the ink button again and the print head carrier will move to the next empty print head. Continue pressing the ink button until the printer has acknowledged all the empty print heads and then the carrier will move to the print head replacement position.
5
Flip the print head carrier cover forward.
6
Choose an empty print head and grab it with your thumb on the front of it and your index finger on the back. Press in on the tab on the back of the print head and lift it out of the carrier.
7
Wrap the print head in a paper towel so that ink does not leak on anything and dispose of it.

My printer is printing blurry on the right hand third of the page - the rest is crystal clear

The printer's head with the ink cartridges runs on a rail above the paper path. The paper comes out face down so the left side of the printer prints the right side of the page. The bottom of the print cartridge is either too close or too far away from the paper. So look for something that is lifting the paper up like some paper wrapped around the rollers or something that would move the head up or down like a loose rail - it would be on the left side of the printer. If it is not paper or some other foreign material on the rollers or stuffed behind them (open the rear cover plate too), the chances are that it will not be cost effective to service the printer.

WE HAVE A PAPER JAM ON THE BACK FUSER OF HP LASERJET 2420. A PIECE OF PAPER IS COMPLETELY WRAPPED AROUND IT.

You can attempt to remove the fuser from the machine to have better access to the paper inside. It is very easy to damage the fuser roller and film when removing a piece of paper wrapped around inside.

We recommend calling for service, but worst case is you try yourself and can't get the paper out then you would just order a new fuser.

We can get you the fuser. Just call 262-993-1551. We offer free shipping.

Ink smudging off paper

It means that the fuser is not hot enough to bond the toner to the paper. You should open the rear door and see if a paper has wrapped around the fuser roller, as when the temp is actually too cool it will shut down the printer. Photo paper is also too thick to be used in this printer and you should only be using standard bond paper.

Dell 944 carrier jam

THE CARRIER MAY HAVE A FINE PEACE OF PAPER STUCK IN THE FEEDER ROLLER OR IN THE ROLLER PANS, REMOVE EVERYTHING, GET A CAN OF AIR AND BLOW IT OUT GOOD AROUND WHERE THE PAPER FEED AND EXITS THE PRINTER, THE CARTRIDGE MAY MAYBE GETTING SNAGED ON THE PRINT HEAD ALSO. SHACK THE PRINTER UPSIDE DOWN TO GET ANY TYPE OF MATTERAIL IN THE MACHINE, IT CAN BE PAPER, PAPER CLIP, STAPLE, PENCIL, ERASER MATTERAIL,
INK BUILD UP ON THE ROLLERS, CHANGE THE TYPE OF PAPER YOU ARE USING, IT MIGHT BE CHEAP PAPER PRODUCTS, LABEL GUM STUCK INSIDE THE PRINTER HOUSING AND EVERY TIME YOU USE IT JAMS.

Easyshare printer dock seris 3

TRY THIS
UNPLUG POWER CORD/USB TO COMPUTER IN BACK OF DOCK.TAKE OUT PAPER TRAY.
LIFT DOCK (LOOK INSIDE (DEEP INSIDE AND SEE IF YOU SEE THE CARTRIDGE FILM ON A STEEL ROLLER,WRAPPED AROUND IT.)A FLASHLIGHT MIGHT HELP IN THAT STEP).
IF CARTRIDGE IS WRAPPED AROUND TAKE TO SERVICE PROVIDER(I TRIED TO FIX IT LIKE THAT AND IT WAS A HASSEL)
IF NOT WRAPPED AROUND GO TO CARTRIDGE OPEN DOOR/LIFTGREEN TAB UP.SHOULD EJECT(IF NOT TRY A BUTTER KNIFE AND PRY UNDER SLIVER DOT)NOT HARD BUT WITH ALITTLE FORCE SHOULD POP OUT.
REMEMBER TO LIFT GREEN TAB WHILE PRYING.
IF STILL STUCK MAY BE STUCK IN PRINT MODE
THATS BEYOND ME. GOOD LUCK.
