I wouldn't think it will worth it by the time tou get it repaired you may have well gotten a new one but key point extended warranty and check on what parts... here we have sears always good on warranties...
i brought a real nice tv from a major company and i didn't do the warranty and the tv went completly goofy in just over a year and i loved that tv so much that it still sits in my garage waiting for devine low repair rates to come back but on a screen that can get spendy but depends on the repair company suppliers... and for your model is also taking a chance.... but still spendy also to repair..
