Re: forgot my administration password
A COMPUTER REPAIR SHOP CAN HELP YOU RECOVER THIS PASSWORD. THERE IS SOFTWARE TO RECOVER THE ADMIN. PASSWORD. SORRY YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS BECAUSE OF SOMEONE SO MEAN AS TO LOCK THE COMPUTER. THE COMPUTER IS LOCKED AT THE MOMENT UNTIL THE PASSWORD IS RECOVERED. BUT THE PASSWORD IS STORED ON THE COMPUTER AND IT'S JUST A MATTER OF HAVING THE RIGHT SOFTWARE TO ACCESS THE FILES WHERE IT IS. YOU SHOULD BE OK THEN. JUST MENTION TO THE SHOP WHAT YOU NEED AND WHAT HAPPENED AND MAYBE THEY WILL CUT YOU A SPECIAL DEAL TO RECOVER THE PASSWORD. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. IF I CAN DO ANYTHING ELSE, JUST REPLY:
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If you Forgot Windows Administrator password and have change the build-in administrator password and now forgot it, you will be unable to hack forgotten windows password by Command Prompt or Safe Mode . Then windows password recovery software is your best choice to bypass the locked out computer, it is the most effective windows password hacking method on the market. Don't take my word for it, why don't you have a look for this utility and try to crack windows administrator password by yourself, Visit: Software to crack Windows Administrator password.
1. reboot your computer to safe mode. 2. log in using administrator account 3.press window button +R type cmd press enter. 4.type net user (your user name) * (ex: net user alex *) 5. change your password and exit. 6. restart your computer and enter to your account using your new password.
You can reset any user password by logging in using the Administrator account through Safe Mode. In Windows XP Home you cannot log into the Administrator account in normal mode.
When your computer is starting up, hold down the F8 key. This will bring you to a black screen with white text. Use the arrow keys to highlight "Safe Mode" and then hit enter. This will boot the computer into Safe Mode, which will look normal except the resolution will be very low. Log in as the Administrator (should have a blank password). Once logged in, open the Control Panel, then User accounts, then reset the password or whatever user you want. Reboot the machine to get back into normal mode.
To reset the Administrator user, you need to right click your My Computer and choose "Manage". The Computer Management window will open. Expand the Local Users and Groups from the left panel and click Users. Right click the Administrator user shown on the right and click Set Password. Click OK. That's it!
you should be able to contact dell support and they should have you on file. when you first bought the computer and logged on the web you had to register your computer. dell should have this information on file, also because each windows program has a register number they might also have you on file. i would try this and it should solve the problem.. please rate this and also please reply back if it doesn't get solved..thanks
if there is one more administrator account means then you will be able to reset the password from there otherwise nothing can be done ... u must reinstall the operating system with the help of bootdisc.................
Yes, when you switch the laptop on hold down the F8 key until you see a black screen with a list of white text, one of the options will be "Safe Mode", use the arrow keys to highlight safe mode (just safe mode, not safe mode with anything) and press return. The computer will start to the welcome screen and you will see a user-name you don't normally see called "Administrator". Click on Administrator and you will find it is not password protected (in spite of the fact that the Administrator account has more access to the system than any other account!) when the administrator profile loads it will ask you if you want to continue in safe mode and you do. click start, click control panel and click on users and groups now click on your son's user account and click remove password. now click back, click on the Administrator account and click change password, the old password should be left blank and you're new Administrator password should be something at least 7 letters, numbers and special characters (!@£$%^&*) long that you can remember.
Now just restart and let it start up normally, once loaded advise your son to set a password he can remember or at least write down somewhere safe.
