Repair manuals are usually bought and aren't normally available for free downloads on the net. You may be able to get one in PDF version or on CD. User manuals are a free download (if it is available). Repair manuals certainly are not available on this site.
I know this info isn't in the users manual and I haven't found a "repair"manual yet but there is probably something out there. Some disassembly will be required for you to reach the point where you can actually service the starter/recoil unit with new rope. Torx head screws are used exclusively on these units and some patience and diligence will get you to the recoil unit. Be forewarned if you do it yourself....there is some work involved removing items.
At www.searspartsdirect.com you can get an operator's manual (users guide) download. All you will need to KNOW is the model number of your weedeater. They have detailed parts diagrams, part #'s, just about everything you might need. They don't have a download for a REPAIR manual. Isn't that strange?
