Asus A7V8X MX SE loooong beeps

When I turned on the computer today the monitor lit briefly and then went off and now there is just a looping long beep and I can't get it to stop without switching off. Computer was working fine yesterday so I'm puzzled. Can anybody help me get rid of the beeps and get into windows??? This is very urgent now.... Many thanks, Deirdre

It is either a memory issue or the power supply issue....

Try to reset memory modules.....If the machine still beeps after this and there is different memory modules installed try to remove each and boot(switch on).....to verify if any memory module is faulty.....if this doesnt work try replacing the memory.

If the problem persists try to verify if the power supply is ok.....

Ram replacement

Motherboard might not be able to recognize ram. Try old ram first. Depending on the beep, they typically mean that there is no/bad ram or no/bad video card.
