Problem for Sony DVP-NS315 DVD Player
Cyberhome DVD writter not decting DVDs . Getti g a disc error.
When I insert blank DVD my Cyberhome DVD writer is not detecting it. It is howing Loading and then shows no disc. Mine is a brand new DVD writter.

- I insert a new disc (Correct format), a disc recorded (finally) on the machine or a new commercial disc and after 2 mins inactivity I get "Disc cannot be neither played or recorded". After several tries I find that sitch the machine off with the disc in then switch on and the disc sometimes will load. It is as if the DVD disc drives does not spin up every time you insert a disc.Worst machine I ever bought.- peterrogers

1.You have to check the format of the DVD disk u insert is compatible with the DVD writer. DVD-R,DVD-RW,DVD+R and are some of the kinds is available on the market but not all of them are support by some writers. Check the DVD writer manual for the write supporting format.

I had the same problem and after reading and trying allot of disks I found the following to work.
Used Maxell - RW disk. Did a complete format on my computer (takes a while). Burned a DVD using Vista DVD burner with only a Jpg as per one of the other posts. Once the disk plays. Stop and goto disk management and format using DVD-V (VR did not work).
I know its not pretty but at least its better than throwing it in the garbage bin.

I have a GPX DV-1010 player and it's been good for at least 2 years, just recently it has been playing one for 1-4 minutes then it returns back to showing loading disc.
