Question about GE HO-98091 (ho98091) Keyboard
Hey I bought this GE keyboard a few weeks ago and it worked fine, but yesterday I had to format my c driver and reinstall windows to repair damage from a virus. Since then my hotkeys aren't working. When I hit the volume buttons volume up is Back and volume down bring up the calculator. When I checked in control panel under keyboard it has PC/AT Enhanced PS/2 Keyboard listed. I tried deleting that driver and installing the driver I got off of the ge website but it's not working.
Try it first on a different computer and install the software there and see if it works. If it does, it could indicate a problem with your PC.
If it does not work on the other PC as well, the k/b is defective, and since it is still under warranty, best get it replaced.
If possible, try using the k/b on a different port. If using the PS/2 port, try using it on a USB port (if you have a PS/2 to USB adapter).
Finally, try a clean boot of the driver. Details for XP can be found here.
If you have Vista, go here instead.
