If power supply is supplying correct voltage, then you do not need power supply PCB.
Try starting the laptop with AC adapter and no battery, if battery is shorting out you may get same problem.
Test the soldering joint on the AC socket and laptop motherboard, if there is a bad soldering on laprop ac adapter socket, you get same symptoms.
If it is none of the above, and the adapter is fine, then it is usually a faulty motherboard.

I can't find the sound driver, but you should be able to either 'update' the driver from the device manager, or download all sound drivers from the following link, burn to CD, and let the computer update from that automatically... http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks

Hi Chris, will still not pick up, problem statred due to power cut whilst installing recovery, as the battery was low the PVC shut down, when powered upp again no matter what I do I get the following message "error loading operating system"
