Question about Panasonic DMR-ES40V DVD-Video Recorder
My Dad tranfered all his vcr to DVD+R. I lost my Dad to cancer and now all DVD's are only readable on the old Panasonic. How can I play these on my computer or any other DVD device. it doesn't even show anything on the DVD on my laptop- an new sony vaio. Any suggestions as to how I can view these - I have a sony DVD player also.
Sorry for your loss. If he transferred everything using his Panasonic recorder, it is possible that he never finalized the discs to be played in other machines. If you still have the Panasonic, put the disc in and press the Functions button on the remote ---> choose Other Functions from the screen --> Disc Management --> Finalize your disc. This is one of many possible reasons but a good start. Good Luck - Tamara
