Try this: Select Camera Menu; Dial down to #60(OTHER FUNCTIONS) Press dial and jog to last item on page 2. (HOUR METER) Now dial up three lines and press the dial. You should now see SELECT LANGUAGE >English >Japanese.

Fever, First off, where did you purchase your camera. Somewhere online? Maybe Best Price Cameras? We did and got Japanese displays. They are gray market cameras. These crooks take the English cameras out of the box and replace them with Japanese. Ours WERE opened with items missing and a recorded tape in one. No faces were shown, but their "Everything we sell is BRAND NEW and FACTORY FRESH" quote is a BIG, MISLEADING LIE. Sorry, FEVER, but you've been screwed like too many of us. Go here http://forums.photographyreview.com/showthread.php?t=10918 to read the REAL reviews, not the reviews that the scam camera shops are operating. Feel free to email me at graphix.designer@verizon.net if you need more info.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

There should be a Language change option in the Menu. Our Panasonic Mini DV cam has Language options only for English, Spanish, French. If your camera does not have an English option, you may need to call Panasonic Tech Support for help.

Converting vhs tapes to computer using camcorder

I think it's possible if you change a setting on your camcorder.  Turn your camera on to VCR and then hit the menu button.  Look at 4. AV In/Out Setup and make sure your DV Out is set to ON.  I think this will make it work.  If not, try changing your playback functions.  I think the problem either lies with the fact that the camera is using its RCA connections as outputs instead of inputs, or it's not sending the signal on to the VCR.
Hope this works for you -
