Ny dell wireless keyboard has stopped working

This is a fairly new dell. The mouse works but the keyboard does not connect. I have done the usual things - replace batteries, reboot etc. Any ideas?

Same problem here. I have looked for the drivers as well, but haven't found them yet. I tried the Resources or Utility CD that came with the computer as Dell suggests, but haven't found any drivers on there for the wireless keyboard/mouse.

And yes, replaced the batteries, and pressed the little green buttons many times, nothing seems to work.

The Mouse works just fine, but....when I try to boot up, and it suddenly is impossible to enter a password, it makes it difficult to suddenly check for drivers!

I've interrupted the boot-up, and actually used the keyboard to examine, change and save parameters for the BIOS, but after all that keying, when it comes time to enter a password to open my Desktop, there is not a stroke from the keyboard that is recognized! What the hell is going on? Batteries are freshly charged (voltage checked), and there are no obstacles between the keyboard and the wireless receiver. USB ports for the receiver have been changed, to no avail.

Not wanting to patronize but asking the dumb questions first: have you pressed the green buttoin on the base of the keyboard AND the one on the receiver? Are your drivers up to date?

Underneath the keyboard is a little 're-set' button. When you push this it re-synchs with the wireless antenna. Make sure you hold it down long enough fo rthe keyboard to synch, usually about 5 - 7 seconds.

Move the wireless adapter (one end connects to the keyboard/mouse ports on your computer) closer to the front of your computer, i.e., closer to where your wireless KB/mouse are located.

Most wireless keyboards and mice have their own wireless receivers (one that should be connected to the computer). The wireless receiver usually has a connect button that you need to press in order for you to connect the keyboard or the mouse. Try holding down the connect button on the receiver and on the keyboard at the same time for five seconds and release them both after five minutes.

If that work, do the same for the mouse.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

My wireless dell mouse isnt working I changed the batteries and still the cursor isnt moving?

there is usually some sort of connect button on both the mouse and then receiver unit that is plugged into the computer, sometimes you have to hold down the connect buttons on each unit simultaneously so that they will connect, i dont know if you have done this or not, otherwise it is always possible that you have a bad mouse, if this is one of those usb wireless mice try moving the usb receiver to a different port and let windows reinitialize it

Dell wireless mouse and keyboard not working

Well, you will need at least another keyboard to get going, or else I,m afraid nothing can be done. See if you can borrow a k/b from a friend preferably a mouse as well.

Apart from that you can try the usual..use new batteries in both k/b and mouse, press connect button on reciever and connect button on k/b, wait about 20-30mins and connect the mouse the same way..

Better try to download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer's website first..

Hope this helps..

Wireless keyboard is blinking a blue light but nothing else is working

Normally Dell keyboard require a wireless uSB plug in that connects to your computer and there is usually a small button on both the keyboard and the end of the connector. Press them both. Normally preplacing batteries causes the connection to be disrupted.
