You have to search on the start menu crystal eye, and you will find it, but you can only take pictures with it, to take videos with it, you have to download a video recorder such as cyberlink youcam

SOURCE: to capture video acer aspire 6920 acer crystal eye webcam builti

you need to download a video capturing device
if your system did not come with one
the built in webcam is exactly that for messaging programs and taking snaps but they can be used for video and this is usually something you need to get on your own
debut is usually a pretty good site

SOURCE: i have an acer aspire 5735z laptop webcam

Dear Sir,

Acer Aspire Model generally comes with a bison web cam driver.
To use the web cam search for an application that installed in program files. In windows Xp web cam can be used by double clicking camera icon present in my computer. If you are using windows vista or other operating system you need an camera application software,to use it. Without application software you can use your web camera only in messengers, for example yahoo messenger. If u had an yahoo messenger login and click on view my web cam,now you can see your face in your laptop. So first thing is search for an application software installed on your laptop.

good luck

SOURCE: Acer Aspire One AOD250 Netbook Built-in Webcam problems....

try this it sometimes works. 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER) 2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC708002BE2092F} Write down the upper & lower filter valuse. Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value (it's safe, and if could be restored later on if you have written it down, so don't worry)

I have an Acer Aspire and I don't know how to get the built in webcam to work. Please give specific directions.

Remove all the pictures out of your Pictures folder. Just move them to a folder on your desktop or somewhere. When all the pictures are out of your Picture folder you Acer Crystal Eye Webcam should start to work.

How do I enable the webcam on the Acer Aspire 5050-3205 with Windows 7?

In windows 7 you do not need to enable a built in CAM, all supporting software's (Skype, Y messenger) will automatically detect the webcam and make it available for use.
if you want the built-in CAM to take picture's you should install the CAM software found in the CD's that came with the Laptop.

Acer Aspire 5735z webcam

I would first check the path/directory that video is recorded to, uncheck the playback after recording box and if this does not work you need to update the drivers.
