Ipod Nano Chromatic wont turn on

Brand new 1 day old unit froze during loading of songs. Now it wont take a charge or turn on. I have purchased variuos Ipod products and they all have issues. It amazing a company that dominates the market gets away with making such an unreliable product. Any ideas!

do you have to have it on when you do that?

Did the Ipod freeze while "Syncing Don't Disconnect" ? That happened to me. Let the battery drain all night. Meanwhile I just bought a new Ipod Chromatic 4gb myself. Charged it all night. It's still charging in the morning? So I take it out and try to turn it on and it won't. Tried the menu button, it doesn't work. Syncing of songs works, but I can't even access the menu. Any ideas? Ipod are starting to **** me off

Press and hold the menu button and the center action button until the iPod reboots and you should be ok. Also, bear in mind that the ipods get overwhelmed with to much happening at one time.
Choose fewer song to add at one time.
Most ipods will have issues if you sync many MB's at one time.

I noticed someone with the same problem. Holding down the on and menu button at the same time for 5 seconds solved the problem.

Unsupported docking for Nano Chromatic

Your docking stations support the previous generation nanos but not current. If you can, return the docks otherwise you'll have to fork over the cash for a new one.

My ipod nano chromatic ha water damage from the washer

Sometimes if you leave it sit for several days or so it will dry out completely and start to work again. I don't recommend charging it or plugging it in for several days or so as if there is still water in it, it may fry some of the chips. It may be beyond repair though.
