SOURCE: i need a wiring diagram for a kobalt 60 gallon air compressor

If it's a 220 volt motor, hook l1 and l2 (220 volts) to the line terminals. If it's a'dual voltage' motor (120 or 220)and you want to use 120, hook 120 to the terminals marked 'line'. Make sure the motor is connected for the voltage you're using if it's dual voltage.

SOURCE: Wiring diagram for single phase two pole 2.5 HP induction motor.

all you have to do is (a) open the connection box of the motor look for the two wires of the starting or running coil, inverse only one coil wire.(a) If there is no centrifugal switch in the rotor, try this it might help open the motor both end, change the direction of the shaft ,which i mean pulley side goes to fan side and fan side goes to pulley side and tighten all bolts.

Wiring a smith and jones 1 hp electric motor for 220. The diagram is not very helpful. I have a red and black hot lead and a white neutral. Where do they all go? I want to make the motor go ccw.

Ok from what I read on the diagram take one lead to P1 cap of P2 T3 T8 and T2 are together and T4 and T5 are put to the second lead
If you want to change direction exchange T5 and T8

I need to convert mu Puma PPH 30-10 air compressor from 220 Volt to 110 Volt wiring, but I do not have the owners manual or a wiring diagram for it. The Motor is a GE

If this is a 3HP I don't think you can switch it. However there is usually a wiring diagram under the square box on the side of the motor.

The compressor is 3HP 230 v motor. In the pressure switch it is wired white and black from motor and green to ground. Is the white and black wire 115 volt each or it the white wire common and black wire...

If the motor is 230 v then it should have three wires, black, red, and green, however if the motor is convertible from 120 to 230v then the wire from the motor may be black, white, and green. Check the motors label to see if it has different wiring configurations. If the motor is 230 v only then the white wire would be the other side of the 230 v circuit, and the pressure switch should break both sides. Neutral is not used. Note that some people would use a single pole pressure switch, although this will work it is not recommended.

There may be a wiring diagram either on the body of the motor or inside the wiring terminal cover.

AO smith compressor motor missing toggle for duel voltage

Most motors will have a wiring diagram on them with numbers not colors, and show the wiring configurations for both voltages. If you do not have this then you may want to contact a motor shop and see if they can get it wired for you.

I have a Trane XE1200 condensor for which I bought a replacement fan motor, same specs as the original G.E. motor. The original G.E. motor was wired to a dual capacitor, which is also wired to the...

OK, locate the terminals on the capacitor marked "HERM"(Compressor lead), "FAN", and "COM".(common)

HERM and COM remian as they are.

The wire going to "FAN" (usually brown) will be placed on either terminal of the new capacitor. (This is the ((usually brown)) wire comming off of the fan motor.) An additional wire needs to be run from the other terminal of the new capacitor to the "COM" on the old capacior.

What you are doing is bypassing the fan side of the old capacitor but still using the compressor side of the old Cap.

The fan should have a wiring diagram on it to help identify the wires if there is no brown wire. The other two wires will be identified on the wiring diagram as well, but one typically goes to the contactor and the other to the board.
