Maytag mbf2258xeq leaks but it's not connected to a water line. Where's the water coming from?

water is coming from condensation from the compressor coil. usually this will evaporate fast enough to not puddle on the floor. check the plastic line running down the back of the fridge to see that it's not broken or pulled out. while you have the fridge out, clean the coil by blowing it out with compressed air and clean the pan under the compressor as best you can. Hope this helps

Drinking water from refrigerator stopped dispensing immediately

At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , turn on the dispensor light for several hours , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig . GE also has a dispensor heater , pt # WR49X10173 which comes with instructions , to keep this from happening again .

The water reaches the filter but does not make it to the dispenser. Seems to be some water in the line in front of the refigerator but not much.

Try diagnosing this problem by : At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig . There is also a heater kit for the water dispensor , pt # WR49X10173 , which comes with instructions .

There is also a dispensor heater , you may want to install , pt # WR49X10173 . This should keep the water line from freezing again , if it turns out to be that problem .

Why am I not getting any water from door dispenser for model GSS23KGSA BB

Pull refrig out , and remove the back panel . At the water valve (piece the wall water line connects to , push up on the white ring and pull the LARGER line from the valve . Activate the water dispensor and see if water comes out of the valve . If no water , replace the complete water valve . If water comes out , reinstall the hose by pushing back into valve , and remount valve and rear panel . Push refrig back into place . Remove the bottom kick plate and disconnect the water line about 6" under front , from the coupling (pushing in the ring and pulling hose ). Press for water again . If no water comes out , probably frozen resevoir behind the refrig crispers , so turn refrig temp slightly warmer for a few days , to unthaw (or use hairdryer) . If water shoots out from hose , then water line inside door is frozen . This would be a more difficult procedure to follow . You can try adjusting freezer temp slightly warmer for a few days to see if it will thaw . If it doesn't thaw , come back to this thread with " water in door frozen " and myself or another expert will be glad to help you .

Water Leak around left front wheel

I would check the defrost drain inside the freezer. this is real easy to do on this model refrig.
  • remove bottom basket (if it isnt frozen in place) and the shelf above it.
  • in th back just below the coil cover in the freezer section there is a ledge that will most likely be frozen over remove this ice using a hair dryer or hot water which ever is conveinant for you
  • you should uncover a drain hole flush this drain with hot water I use a turkey baster or large syringe to forcefully push water thru to clear anything in the drain
  • put it back together and you should be good to go
when ever the unit goes into defrost (which is about twice a day) the water runs over the ledge and then out of the door by the hinge puddling up next to the wheel. this unit has a hard fiberglass drain pan that is built in and unless it has been dropped i cant imagine the drain pan being damaged.
Let me know if you have any other questions Peyton
