Question about Computers & Internet
Yes fantastic I got into the router and I also updated firmware. But when I come to configuring everything seems right and my laptop can see the connection and says security enabled network I click on it and it doesnt seem to connect to it. I am using the wpa2-personal and aes encryption i put the proper key in exactly how it is done on the ap and still no connection what is going on???
Do i have to take everthing back on the ap to dynamic ip or leave as static as what i have done to access the ap in the first place..

Connect directly to the AP with a cat5 cable,
you need to set a static IP in your laptop.
Start > control panel >netwrok connections> right click on your LAN icon > properties
In the main box, highlight "Internet Protocol/TCP/IP ", then click on properties.
Check the button "use the following IP address"
Put these settings in:
IP = 192.168.0.100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Then go to your browser and type in 192.168.0.50. This should get you into the setup page.
There you have to inputer the routers wirteless MAC address in the box labeled "repeater mode"
You may need to update the AP's firmware, here is how to do it:
copy and paste the link into your browser.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
