My parents found and upstage in our family couch while cleaning and it is out of battery, I bought a usb cable but when I plug it in the phone doesn't register to the computer and will not even charge or turn on... Why would this be? I need to find out whos phone it is in order to return it.

My up stage did the same thing, Call not complete and the Samsung logo stayed on the smaller screen and that was it, I haven't been able to turn it on, and the battery was fully charged.

My phone would turn off by itself for a few weeks, i didnt think much of it though. Then it would only work if it was being charged , and now it wont turn on no matter what.

I left a samsung phone to charge for about five hours and then unplugged it, and since then it turned on for me three times, appearing fully charged, and turned itself off after about a minute, then turned off completely and hasn't come back on since. maybe i overcharged it but it shouldn't matter as the manual says it has overcharge protection
i am temporarily trading this phone with a friend who needed my iphone, i miss it, the iphone never pulls **** like this!

You need the power adapter to charge the battery. Since the battery has been discharged you may need to charge and unplug it for a while (hours) and charge again more than once before it will even display again. Go through this cycle, It may take several days. Then, when it does come on it, may be locked 10000 numeric lock codes and if it was reported lost or stolen it cant be used as a phone unless by the original owner. You should ask if someone you know if they losted their upstage and return it, they would probably be very grateful and give you a reward because all the phone info. then get a ipod. :)
good luck,
dad with 3 upstage phones - two had this problem and lost one.

Charging the battery on Samsung Upstage sph-m620.

Well if it's new, then I would take it back to the store from where you bought it. It will be under warranty so, if something is wrong you should be able to get it swapped out with a working one.

Hi,
The most likely problem is your battery. Unfortunately, it appears you battery needs to be replaced at this point.

Where can I download samsung sph-m620(upstage) usb driver for Vista?

Drivers are not needed for XP or Vista. To Connect your phone to your pc, Plug it in, Cancel the connection wizard. On your phone go to tools, Mass Storage... and Connect to pc. Drivers will then be installed, and you have acess to the files on the memory card to transfer MP3's and pics

Drop Samsung Upstage in water

wow, himan and masir really have no idea what they are talking about. clean it properly before inserting the battery? remove the battery and get it serviced? you 2 are idiots. the upstage battery can't be removed without disasembling the entire case and then desoldering the battery from the board. i bet you 2 are probably the same people that get complaints left and right when people call dell and get an outsourced call center...
