1. Access the router's setup page by going to 192.168.2.1.
2. By default, there is no username and no password. Otherwise if you have created a password to access the router's page already then use that password.
3. If you want to change the administrative password of the router, go to "System Settings".
4. If you want to change the wireless security for your wireless connection, then go to wireless settings tab of the router.

Hi

1. Connected a computer to the router using a Ethernet cable.

2. Open up a internet explorer.

3. Click on CTRL & O [The letter O as in oscar]

4. In the Open box that appears the top left corner of the internet explorer type the numbers : 192.168.2.1 & press OK.

5. This will take you to belkin router setup screen.

6. Click on Channnel & SSID under wireless on the left side of this screen.

7. Once it prompts to type the password just leave the password box blank & press submit.

8. Change only the SSID to different name to what ever you wish like in last name & press apply changes. [do not change any thing else in this screen]

9. Click on Security under wireless in the left hand side.

10. Choose the security mode to WPA-WPA2 personal PSK & in the pre-shared key make up the password to what ever you wish & then press apply changes.

11. Now try to connect to the wireless network using the new SSID [network name] & the new password that this the security key that you set up in key one.

Thanks

Belkin wireless g mimo router. i never set a

When changing the advanced settings on the Belkin router, you should change the default password.

To change the password, go to Administrator Password. Type in a new password. Make sure you remember the password, otherwise, you will need to reset the router back to default settings.

I hope this helps.

Need network key for belkin g+ router 802.11g

if you own the router and you don't know the network key or forgot it.
you need to reset your router, please check the intructions that came with it. if you haven't change the admin password (which is by deafult blank) go into the admin page and change or delete the network password doing something similar to this
if you don't have or can't remember the admin password you need to restore the router to defaults to reconfigure it

if you don't own the router and don't know the network key you need to ask the router owner for the key or use a program to hack into the router signal and attempt to figure the key out. (not recommended as it is ilegal)

Belkin Nimo wireless router internet drop outs

There are a few things that can cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router.
1. Weak signal strength, check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move the wireless router away from walls and if possible locate the wireless router higher up.
2. Have you secured your wireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? Ie. change the default password, setup encryption use WAP2 or WAP, change the default SSID, and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC address filtering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s to connect to your wireless router.
3. You could be getting interference from electrical sources such as air conditioners, ard welders, washing machines etc. If so the power supply to the wireless routers and computers etc should be connected to a surge protection power board, better still connect your computer equipment to an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) .
4. Check the channels of the wireless routers and access points in your area and and change the broadcast channel on your wireless router to an unused channel or one that has the weakest signal strength. This will minimize the interference with your wireless router from the wireless routers and access points in your area.

I forgot my network key? Belkin wireless G plus mimo router.

No problem if you remember your administrative password, just log into the router. Plug into the router with an ethernet cable and put 192.168.1.1 or whatever your router IP is (you can use ipconfig to find that: run, cmd, ipconfig -- it's the default gateway) into your web browser. If you don't remember that password either, then you're going to have to hit the reset switch and set it up again. Go to Belkin's site if you don't have your manual anymore:
