My HP mini just starts up and black screen does nothing and asks for a password and it has to be entered 3 times ....can anyone help

You should first clarify what OS you are using in your HP mini if it is 1. Win 7 then there is no way to get you logged in your pc you have to format it and after formatting you will lose entire date which was there previously2. Win vista and you have got the recovery CD with you then you can recover it but there always you will lose data but not entirely 3. Win XP then you can start your PC in safe mode(for starting it in safe mode you need to keep on pressing F8 key right after you switch on the PC and then you will find an option which says "Safe Mode" select using arrow key and press enter) and can logged in administrative account and change your password from there.

When I try to install Print Master Platinum 2.0, I am getting an error message: java.io.IO Exception: Date Error (cyclic redundancyy check) Error Log: C:\user\vic\appData\Local\Temp\install4j...

NO PC stated !
Vista, so is old PC, as old as Jan 2007, 11 years old
then you buy ? Print master, from whom>?
is it on a disk this APP
or downloaded
tell the helper where you got PM and how? and win big help.

there are only 2 ways to install an app,
from CD (optical media)
or you buy it online and down load the installer.
why must you leave out such a key fact as that.
if from CD , and the CD or CD drive is bad, the CRC error happen.

IF downloading it , then tell the heaper where it is.
the URL.
like http://www.joescheapbuggyapps.com (made up)

i see is runs java.
this is not good, as getting java to work now, is a huge plain.
(certificate Errors from H3LL endless)
so up grade your JAVA RT, run time software.

did you read that log like it asked you to do.
its an error log, one uses notepad to read it and find errors.
then other help solve why it failed.

I need to make fonts bigger.

Hi Deanna,

What Operating system are you using?

If it's Windows 7, here's a place to start:

1) Right-click the desktop (anywhere except an icon) and select "Personalize" from the menu

2) Selct the "Display" link, which should be third from the bottom on the left-hand side

3) You'll now see the three radio buttons for "Smaller (default)", "Medium" and "Larger". Select the one you want and log off your account, then log back on for the settings to take effect. If this is Windows Vista, it will require that you restart the PC.

Hope this helps!

New Computer with Vista shuts down by itself when not in use

To get to the Event Viewer, click the start button and in the search box at the bottom, type

eventvwr

and press Enter. Click Windows Logs and check the Application and System logs for any errors that occur when the computer shuts down.

If your computer was fine before the RAM upgrade, take the RAM back out and leave it alone for a while to see if it shuts down.

Also, change your screensaver.
