My motorola backflip keeps rebooting

Hi, when a phone it is continuously rebooting, it means that memory has been affected by VIRUS.

VIRUS can damage a phone in no time. VIRUS can be caused by downloading applications on your phone through the internet, or might be from data transfer from a phone to another phone.

To remove the VIRUS, you will need to flash the phone memory. Flashing the phone will restore back the phone to it normal state.

You can use this link to see how to flash your phone

Flashing a cell phone will erase carrier data from the memory. Cellular companies can usually do this for a fee. Online buyer sites sell the software kit that will flash a cell phone from home computers.

To flash a phone you will need to rewrite the PRL file by connecting your phone to a computer with the needed equipment. Your best bet is to take your phone to a dealer that flashes phones on a regular basis. For more information

VIRUS

Follow thegiven steps to remove virus:
As soon as you suspect that your computer has a virus, remove your computer from any networks it might be on, as well as from the Internet, so that you don't inadvertently spread the bug to others. Unplug your network cable if you have to.
If you have virus-scanning (anti-virus) software installed, run it.
If you don't have anti-virus software, you'll need to obtain some. If you can't get it from a network administrator or download it from an uninfected computer, you can mail-order it from a retailer. Start your computer (still not connected to a network) and follow the instructions that came with the anti-virus software.
Keep running the virus-scanning software until your computer comes up clean.
Reconnect your computer to the Internet and check with the anti-virus software's publisher to make sure you have the latest updates. If not, download them now.
After updating the anti-virus software, run it again until your computer comes up clean.

Aspire 5500 5570-2609 Laptop Computer (AS55702609RTL) PC Notebook: I am unable to get internet access. Cable company ...

First thing to do is scan for malware and viruses. Most malware and viruses will disable the settings for your internet connections as well as causing havoc with the rest of the system. In most cases you will be able to connect with the network but not have internet access. That is not always the case. You could try to go to system restore and try restoring the computer back in time to before you had the trouble....the problem is, is that if you have a virus, it generally disables system restore. System restore is not the same as doing a factory restore. You can find it by going to "programs" > accessories > system tools > system restore. Anyway, the scans are the first step...especially if you can do a boot scan..."Avast" antivirus is good for that. Once the scans are done follow the guide below to check your proxy settings and you should be able to connect.

Internet Connection Errors

If you have a virus or malware that is not letting you connect to the internet or your settings have been corrupt, there is a simple setting that you can look for to correct the error. The most prevalent of these is that you can connect to the router and your network but you have no internet access. This is the one I will concentrate on here.

Bring up your internet browser and click on “Tools”, scroll down and click on Internet Options.
Now click on the “Connections” tab. At the bottom of the page, click on the LAN settings button.
Make sure the box for “Automatically detect settings is checked. Now, Un-check the box that states to use a “proxy server for your LAN” at the bottom. Click OK and OK.

Reboot the machine and try to connect to the internet, you should be able to. I have to also add that in some cases if you have “Selective Startup” selected through “MSCONFIG”….it may be beneficial to change that to “Normal Startup” until you get the other settings configured.

System restore cant restore computer to earlier times and ad-aware freezes mid scan

Go to a friends computer and search for "Trinity Rescue CD version 3.3", try to get build 321 or greater. Burn the ISO file you download on to a CD blank and then set the computer to boot from CD (This setting should be in the BIOS settings). Boot with the Trinity Rescue CD you just created and make sure the computer is plugged into a known good network connection (not a modem connection but a cable or DSL connection) chose item number 6 (I think) on the menu. Item #6 should be "Virus scan non-interactive" Be aware that you only have 10 seconds to choose the item you want from the menu before Trinity Rescue CD boots. use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move up and down the menu. After you choose Virus scan non-interactive, the computer will reach out to the internet and update it's virus checkers and scan your computer for viruses and rootkits. This might take a while. If you have a larger hard drive (80GB or larger) try this before you go to bed and let the Virus scan run all night. When it is done scanning (it will scan your hard drive with 5 different virus scanners) it will have a command prompt (DOS) type screen type "exit" and remove the CD and reboot your computer using the hard drive and THEN try to run Lavasoft ad-aware or Spybot Search and Destroy.

Please completley remove the norton security from my computer...trying to run something comcst says you need to do something to rmove it...please do asap ...thank you

Go into Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs. Wait for the list of all programs to load up.

Go down through the list and look for Norton Internet Security. Remove it. It will take a very long time, sometimes 1/2 hour or more depending on speed of computer. Reboot the computer after it has been removed, especially if/when it asks you to reboot after the process.

After rebooting, go back into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Look for Symantec or Norton's Live Update, remove that as well. Also remove any other Symantec/Norton Anti-Virus or Internet Security programs as well. Then reboot the computer again.

Your computer should be much, much faster now. So now you need a new Anti-Virus program...

I've found in my experience that Norton and McAfee do more damage to some computers than good, besides the fact that they are severely over-priced. I would NEVER install either Norton (Symantec) or McAfee on anyone's computer. Matter of fact, I just had to remove Norton 2008 from a lady's computer today, an old Dell 2400 because her system was too old and slow to run new Norton.

My suggestions for much better anti-virus would be...

- Kaspersky Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- Trend Micro PC-Cillin Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- AVG Free Anti-Virus at http://free.grisoft.com, they also have more elaborate versions with more protection for a cost.

I personally use AVG on my computers, and my family does as well. It's very effective and gets out viruses that even Norton cannot remove.

My computer keeps rebooting

Hello, Yes, first try to clean from any virus (most like it's the problem), but if doesn't work it could be that your PC power supply is overloaded and switch off. Check if you are connecting more hardware to your PC after unpacking in the new place than before....printers, scanners, etc, etc. Good luck.
