Question about D-Link DWL-G550 802.11g/b (DWLG550) Wireless Adapter
After installing adapter and gaining connectivity at least 2 times a day you get blue screen shut down with message"a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down" driver_irql_not_less_or equal A3Ab.sys. I tried updating driver but after update the card does not function or connect. If you undo driver update you are back at square 1.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! I've called Dlink and they don't believe the problem exists. They just tell me to reinstall the driver... Is the only solution to buy a different card?
I am unfamiliar with "windows zero wireless configuration"... please explain/link.

As usual this is just a faulty driver that came with the product.
after long searching i found a updated driver that does work.
uninstall anything you installed for the dwa-547
put the card in and reboot.
when windows asks to install the new found hardware click cancel.
and unpack it.
click the setup.exe and install it.
it shouldnt reboot or anything and it should install right away.
its a multi language driver so no worries about the .de domain of the file location.

Has Windows done an update, as it may have loaded it's own drivers instead using the d link driver. Try uninstalling driver and uninstalling the router and start again. If fails try using the windows zero wireless configuration instead of d link software. Wireless is a pain for a lot of people, it's trial and error, when you start getting BSOD because of driver errors.
