Question about Washing Machines
Model: 110 20992 991
My husband and I have been problem shooting this for a week. The washer will agitate and drain but does not spin dry. We read online that it might be the coupler so we disassembled and looked at this part and could not see any problems. If a coupler is broken is it visible to see or is it internal (in the engine or elsewhere)?? The 3 leg/3 leg and rubber ring ("spider" piece) did not have any broken legs or parts that seem lose.
We put it together again and tried a cycle to troubleshoot. It fills, agitates and drains but does not spin. It makes a whirring noise like it's trying to spin and I don't believe it's the engine. It also begins to smell a little like burnt rubber when it gets to the spin cycle. Any ideas? Please help....Thank you so much for your time.

The problem sounds like the motor to transmission coupler. If it is not draining or spinning you may find that the lid switch is inop.

SOURCE: Washer doesn't agitate
sounds like your washer went mellow on you(doesn't get agitated, right)?
ok. enough humor.
sounds like there's a problem with the motor/belt/control board in that order

SOURCE: BACK LEG LEVELING ARM
The back legs are usually not adjustable. Adjust the front legs & lock them with the lock nuts, at the lowest level, that is the machine tilts towards the front. Adjust further if there is any shake when you try with your hands.
You could also check to see if any springs or shocks have become loose. Refer manual.

I had the same problem and ended up replacing the control board which solved it. Contact Westland Sales at 800-356-0766 ext. 5 for tech support.
