Target cannot be measured at any distance. I have put a new battery in the unit and problem remains. The lens is not obstructed. The unit worked great for about four months after I got it and then it just quit measuring.

5.1 Distance : Unit of Measurement This setting allows you to change your distance measurement from yards to meters. The default setting is set to yards. ? The tab next to "Distance Unit" in the tools menu, shows the current unit of measurement that your unit is set to. To change from yards to meters and vice-versa, touch the tab, and then touch "Done" on the bottom of the screen, to save the setting. https://golfbuddyglobal.com/doc/usermanual_worldplatinum.pdf
The auto-focus system in Kodak slide projectors is really an auto-measurement system: One set manually, the system is supposed to maintain that distance on all subsequent slides. Correct orientation of the slides is that they are all placed in the slide tray in the SAME direction (the matte side of the transparency facing toward the screen). The measurement is from the FRONT of the slide transparency to the BACK of the projection lens. REPAIR calibration of the system requires 2 special tools: a RANGE SLIDE and a TARGET SLIDE. These tool slides and the calibration procedure SHOULD be available from: www.micro-tools.com They purchased all remaining repair parts from Kodak when Kodak stopped supporting slide projectors. Good Luck !! Jim
are you sure about your instrument setting? you try press button "MRS1" or "MRS2", hold around 1 second n 1/5. Then at monitor come out "Target","Const","Mode","AVE" and "Rec mode". At "Target", u choose "prism". Good Luck.
Same problem Err and --- on display. The front lens had become misaligned. Take off front rubber boot, clean lens and replace lens exactly in glue pattern on unit with rounded side facing out. Then holding unit with seated lens upright push rubber boot slowly back on. Very hard at first but push as much in by hand then use a narrow blunt point like the back of a screwdriver handle to press around the edge working it in with slow continuous pressure a quarter inch at a time. It will reseat just take your time and work the high spots. This time was not the batteries, works like new.
I think you measured the o/p voltage by digital multimeter which measure r.m.s. voltage that gives the wrong value measure the voltage by anolog miltimeter that meter shows the pointer and will gives proper value definetly upto 230vac
