No the computer wont charge at all. I have a laptop so obviously my battery is close to dead, and I was trying to figure out if the problem was in the charger, or the actual charger jack.

When the computer is plugged up can you use it? Does the computer operate normally when you have it plugged in to AC power?

You could try and get a universal type charger that has adapters for most laptops. That would most likely be the cheapest thing you could try. I have also seen the jack on the computer be disconnected from the motherboard of the computer because of broke solder joints. It could be either the charger or the jack but the charger is easier to check by trying another known good charger. At that point if it doesn't work, you could have a jack problem on the laptop. If that turns out to be the case, I would take it to an authorized repair center due to the fact that laptops are not easy to work on and are easily broken.

No, either the charger is broken or the charger jack is. Even with the battery out it wont function normally. Any guesses?

I'm not asking if the computer will charge, I'm asking if when you have it plugged in does the computer operate normally. You should be able to take the battery out of a laptop and plug in the computer in and the computer should still operate.

You need to check all of these: 1. External charger, 2. Battery, 3. Internal charger, 4. Software. First, check if the battery is fully charge (or more than 80% charged). Second, use a tested good working battery charger/ac adapter to test your ac adapter (go to local electronic stores and test your laptop with their ac adapters). Third (if your ac adapter and your battery are good), then check your Power Options (click Help and search "power option" if you don't know where it is). If the Power Options is ok, then your motherboard (internal charger) has a problem. You need to bring your laptop to trusted local laptop repair shop.

Battery wont charge

Is it a different charger? If it isn't try plugging it into a car or at home on the computer or the wall. If that doesn't work maybe getting it checked out will help.

Hi, it seems that battery is totally discharged, that could be the reason of dead table. It should be good if you could check the connectors where the internal charger cable is connected, maybe one or both are damaged too.

first try to use your charger into another laptop, if the the another laptop was charged using your charger, it means your battery is the problem, but if it is still not charging it means the problem is your charger. then try your battery to use it into another laptop, as same as the i mention in the charger, if they or both fine, maybe the problem is the batery terminal of your laptop.

If the GPS's internal battery is allowed to discharge too far, it will not be possible to recharge with the card charger, until it is brought up to a certain level. Connect the nuvi to a computer with USB cable overnight. This will trickle charge the internal battery to a level that will allow the car charger / cradle to keep the GPS charged from that point on. Anytime the car charger fails to recharge the internal battery, the USB charge method will have to be performed first.

Battery wont charge and the light just blinks on and off

If your charge light will not work, then do the following..
First make sure you have power where you are plugging it in. If you have power, then plug in the charger, (here I am not sure you are talking about a charger or using a cord to charge the battery in the camera,.. some can be charged that way) and see if the light comes on. If not, then do the following. use a volt meter and check to see if you have voltage in the charger at the connections for the battery. If you have the correct voltage ,power with the charger plugged in, then the battery is suspect and more than likely bad. Replace the battery with a new one.
If you have no power, or low voltage, then the charger is defective, either in the cable or internally. Get another battery charger for your battery.

It wont charge on my computer

Unfortunately, the USB cable is only used to download photos from the camera. It will not charge the battery. You need to purchase a battery charger, and because the battery is proprietary for this camera, you will probably have to get one from Canon (unless you can find one on eBay or Amazon). The charger (in the US) is the CB-2LV and Canon sells it here for $50.

Battery wont charge

This camera not charged via PC, you can charge the battery only with wall charger(comes with box). When camera is plugged to PC, you can´t use it as a camera, only as a memory card. You can watch your stuff in PC( PC recognise a camera as a flash memory, no more).

So, this is normal..Charge your camera with wall charger(Full charge Red light not flash!, if light flashed camera is charging) Unplug and use as usually!
