I have an old BJC-80-belonged to my husband who passed away- I don't know where an owner's manual might be to troubleshoot- I turned the printer on, and the paper came out blank. Now I get a flashing green light or an orange error light, and it doesn't feed at all. The cartridge seems to still have ink.
If you press the 'resume' button until it beeps twice the printer will enter a print head cleaning cycle. Do this 5 times if the printer has not been used for awhile. This is a great little printer designed for laptop use on the road. I really miss mine. Here is a link for the manual which shows you how to do maintenance on or offline. The ink is cheap for this model as you can change just the tank or the tank and the printhead. The only difficult maintenance is when the 'ink pad' which is at the bottom of the printer gets full usually requiring a service tech facility. Good luck -it is a joy when maintained:)

ps: pressing the resume and power button together will print a test page.
