I have tried everything I know of to fix my printer, it goes from only printing black streaks on color printouts to just printing one color, I am now only printing blue.I have half full cartridges in both slots. I've cleaned the head. I've run all the troubleshooting. No, it's not how I've set up the printer to print colors on my pages, the other colors look like they should be there and aren't. Any help?

I think if I have to replace the printhead again, I'll replace the printer. The ink is cheaper by the cartridge, but the cartridge does not last near as long. Not sure it's cheaper, and am sure it's not 50 per cent cheaper as they claim. When it works it's great, but it's getting a short trip to the dumpster when it quits again.

An inter active website is being provided by Kodak to help their customer w/ this issue.....Try using www.kodak.com/go/itg and use missing colors for sub class if this does'nt solve the issue call Tech. support. (1 800 421 6699)

As far as the quantity of black & white - to get more out of it - go to start menu.. Click on on settings,, then printers,, Right click on the ESP 5,, click on printing preferences,, then clcik on draft,, then click on (at the top) advanced,, click on black & white.. Then click on apply then ok..
Now - every time you print it will be in this mode.. If you want to print in color - you will have to choose that each time..
For you black & white docs - this will print faster & use allot less ink..
As far as your color issue & puddling - It could be the printer head.. If it is new enough - call Kodak & maybe get a replacement.. If to old - maybe keep the color cartrige out and caped with the plastic caps until you need to print color.. Snap it in & out as needed..
I hope this helped..
