Question about Samsung Yepp YP-Z5QB MP3 Player

1 Answer

Samsung K5 I was just given this as a gift. I inserted the software that it came with so I can drag files to my player.Well my computer was acting up and decided to shut down.My mp3 player was connected to my computer with the usb cord. Now my player does not turn on or even charge. It is new right out of the box.I hope I didn't break it, and if so that sucks.Maybe I just burned out the battery, does anyone know?

Re: Samsung K5

Firstly, try "re-setting" the Z5 (ie micro switch) first. Then, remove the Samsung software (ie un-install) and try re-connecting the Z5 to your pc. If this works, download the latest firmware update from Samsung website (download centre/mp3) and save newest firmware onto your Z5. Always update your Z5 with latest firmware (appropriate with your Windows OS). Good luck.

You may click on the link below then select your exact model number so that you can see the manual. however a simpler step would be to plug in your samsung phone to the computer then go to My computer then just drag your files into your phone.

I hope this has answered your
question. If you have more
questions please post a reply and
i would be happy to assist.

Won`t charge

I had the same problem. First disconnect the mp3 player from your computer. Then go into the control panel, select the system icon, go to the device manager tab, and then find the Samsung K5 driver. Right click on it and select uninstall. Now reconnect your mp3 player. That should do the trick. Somehow the driver file got corrupted and wasn't letting the k5 charge.

Transferring files and radio

No, do NOT use ITunes... as itunes was developed initially for use with Apple IPod, itunes has been known to alter files, which can make some files incompatable with competitor devices (ie Microsoft). Instead, transfer files from their native format (ie mp3, wma) directly onto your K5. In other words, use Media Studio to convert your CD's into mp3 (or WMA), or download ur internet files from their original MP3 format, before copying to your K5. Your K5 relies on the headphones to receive FM signal (ie acts as antenna), so you need to wear your headphones when locking onto your preset stations.
