If it does not heath at all check the heating element, circuit breakers, thermal fuse, and also the thermostat.

If heat is scarce check thermostat and faulty heat relay.

My GE dryer DBXR463 electric dryer doesn't dry the clothes all the way anymore? What could be the problem? I have cleaned all of the lint and checked the venting on the back. It used to worked fine for...

Check the entire vent (exhaust ) system start the dryer and go outside to the exhaust vent ,you should feel a good amount of warm airflow.bet you will fine low airflow. You need good air circulation to help remove the moisture from the clothing warm or hot temps alone would take longer if ever to dry ..this generally happens slowly over time and the next thing you realize is that its running much longer than it use to... plus it cost more....if you still have a concern you may have a thermostat that is short cycling not letting it get hot enough long enough... Hope this helps GOOD LUCK

Dryer not hot enough

run it for about 30 seconds and open it...is it hot? or is it just warm? some dryers have two elements...one of yours may be burnt. I would first check to see if your dryer vent is clean and not kinked or clogged....There is also a thermal switch located inside the back panel which is fairly easy to change and pretty cheap also....but that wouldn't be a factor if you have heat.... check your venting its more than likely the problem....Good Luck

My GE Profile Harmony Dryer is no longer Heating

Does it get hot when you turn it on, and then never gets hot again while its running? On my dryer the solenoid broke, when the dryer was cold it worked and the dryer operated properly because the dryer and solenoid were cold and the solenoid wire was closed, when the dryer was hot enough the solenoid opened and the heat would not restart. the solenoid is a coiled wire which is used to open the gas valve.

GE Dryer Model #DWSR483EB2WW Dryer tumbles,

Does it get hot when you start the dryer, and never gets hot again when its running? The solenoid wire might be opening due to heat, the solenoid is responsible for opening the gas valve, and booster valve. The wire is located in a round plastic sleeve with two electrical contacts sticking out.

Heating coil gets really red

If you are looking at the heating coil without air moving past it, then it will get very, very red, to the point of melting in two and breaking. In normal operation, there is enough air moving past the coil to keep it from getting red hot.
