The disk it comes with its broken so how do i put videos

You can download the Media converter software from Philips support site. Here is the URL:

Ok, please note that the videos downloaded directly from the internet may not work properly on the player. You have to first convert them into a format that is suitable to the player using Philips media converter.
Download the Philips Media Converter software. Make sure corresponding Codec for playing videos is installed before downloading.
The codecs are required to play videos on your player. To download Codec, you can:
1. Go to
2. Search for "directshow codec pack"
3. Download and install one of the codec packs from the list of results
Now to download video, connect your player to the PC and click the icon "Internet video downloader" at your desktop.
Open the website where your desired video clip locates (Like from you tube). Move the cursor over the video you want to download until you see the Download icon. Double click on the icon to enable download.
After downloading, the Media Converter for Philips will then start to convert the video to the format that suits your player. If your player is connected to the PC, the video will be transferred to the player automatically.

Hope this helps.

My Iomega Screen Play Plus wont play any of my High Quality AVI files. I know this is down to the codec. Can I install a 3rd party player or how do I fix this?

It appears that the firmware update (click here) only fixes minor bugs some of which include DivX issues but does not seem to include more codecs. Here are a list of supported codecs (click here). The only other option seems to be the Transcode Server option (click here); but am not sure if this works for your exact model. So for all intents and purposes unless Iomega sends out a firmware update, with an extend codec pack, you would have to try the Transcode Server option or unfortunately convert your files to a supported format (no joy). Hope this was helpful.

Not able to play video in philips gogear pls suggets

Media players need the matching video format: for GoGear Vibe it is SMV.
To convert video from AVI to SigmaTel Motion Video, use the Media Converter Software from the manufacturer. For the videos you'd like to convert, be sure to update video codecs in Windows Media Player 10 or higher.

Vibe players have different display sizes, so you'll need the matching Converter for your player.
When you have the United States version SA5285/37 next site gives all support, including the Arcsoft video converter:
There's and update for the Arcsoft converter, for downloading directly YouTube films:
click on EXTRAS at the top right hand corner of the Arcsoft main screen.
At the pull down menu click UPDATE AND PATCHES, Arcsoft will check
and let user download and install the updated Stream Ripper feature
( streaming videos need flv video codec )

What videos can it play?

Any videos that are in the proper format.

Download and install the "Sansa Firmware Updater", connect your Fuze, and run the Updater. Besides making sure that your Fuze has the most up-to-date firmware, it'll allow you to download the "Sansa Media Converter", which can convert most videos directly onto your Fuze in a format that it can play.

I put a video on my mp4 player and it recognized it, but wouldn't play it why?

It is good start that your MP4 player can see your file: it is not an uncommon issue as your player is not recognizing a supported uncoded file and may also exhibit for other files video/no sound or no video/sound.
To overcome this issue, you will need to convert your file using a 'video converter' software and specify a suitable Video Codec AND a suitable audio Codec.
ps. to determine what are the supported CODECs, look at the 'properties' of a known good playable video currently on your MP4 Player

I converted my videos using mtv and put them on my coby mpc 7095 gb2 when i go to the video it says unknown format

Hi, unknown format means that your player doesn't support the codec of the video you just downloaded, I suggest to look for your previous videos that plays on your player and look if what type of video it plays, maybe .avi, .wma, .3gp, .mp4, .mpg. Also try to read your manual, coz all the answer is in there. Thanks and hope i can help

I tried to put an avi file on my mp4, but it keeps coming up as ''Waring! File Format Error'' How can I add movies and videos to my touch screen mp4 with a camera. Can some one please help me because I'm...

It's probably a video/audio codec that isn't supported by your device. Try to convert it to a supported codec, even if it has the correct file extension it may not be a supported codec. If it's an MP4 it must be a codec playable by your specific device, you can download GSpot and check the file, then see if the codecs are compatible with your player.

Want to creat good quality avi videos for my mp3 player

Looking at the specs, this is a pretty nice player and appears to play multiple mpeg4 formats (divx, xvid h264). I'm not positive it can support all codecs, but, since the player doesn't specify, we should start with the assumption that it can.

The unit comes with encoder software and I've used it before, but, have never been impressed with the capabilities or flexibility of the encoder. I'm going to start you off with a very flexible encoder / editing program. With this, and once you know the basics, you can experiment with multiple settings. But first, you need to download a few codecs and install them to your computer. Before you go any further, download these 3 programs and install.

xvid codec:
divx codec:
