I think first of all you should try to run some type of virus scan and a malware scan if your virus program does that. If it is not a piece of malware that's causing the message you should then check with your company to see if your product key is useable on that laptop. Sometimes they give you a OME which means official electronics manufacture product key which can only be used with the laptop it came with. So for example if the Windows XP cd came with a different laptop and had a OEM product key it would install but would show a message that the product key is not valid.
