I have the same problem as listed above. I have pulled the housing for the light bulb and while crossing the safety switch for the rear cover, during power up the light will iluminate for about 3 seconds. After the light goes out the fans continue to run and the audio works properly. I have no vidio at all, not even showing what input I am on or volume level. Is there some sort of protection circut that the lamp is over loading? Is there anything more I can test? I am a electronic engineer, obviously this doesn't mean I am a TV tech by any means but I do not want to spend the $300 in a service call if I could work it out myself. Thank you
Put external fan moving air through vent holes, this gave me some releif bk
The shutdown problem might be because the unit overheats if it does not have room to breath or it might be a problem in the ballast (lamp supply)and now is showing all the way, some units use a separate ballast board and other ones have the power supply and lamp supply in one board,be carefull with these boards the voltage outof the power supply to the ballast could be measured but no the volts from the ballast to the lamp,is to high.If the LED blinks and pauses you might have a bad lamp but I dont know how many hours you have already.Be careful and stay away from the light engine and the LCD's,if you move this parts one milimeter it will give you a picture problem.Let Us know how it goes.

I forgot to include, and this may or may not be pertinate to this problem. But I have expereinced a auto shut down of the unit from time to time. If it shut itself down in a 30 second time period it would restart the unit. This was without me touching anything.
Thanks for your advise, really appreciate the quick responce.
I have replaced the bulb and also replaced the ballast board. Still the same. What is my next move? Help!!!!
