Question about Kenwood DDX-6019 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

Mecha Erro I used to get this issue only once in a blue moon, where i would eject a CD and then the mechanism would not close after opening. It is an easy thing to fix, just give it a light push to help it on its way back up. Now, I am having an issue quite often where i will eject a cd and even after the cd is out of the player, it will keep trying to eject. If i try and insert a cd it will just immediately reject it. Then if i hit the eject button i get a mecha error. After messing around for about 5-10 minutes i am able to put a cd and resume normal functionality, but this is really annoying and I dont know what is causing this error.

Re: Mecha Erro

The problem could be a belt if the unit uses one for the CD try, a bad motor or the motor drive servo circuit. There are no user replaceable parts inside this unit as it is solid state and unfortanatly, there is no quick fix for this, except, taking the unit out of the vehicle and bench testing it. Im afraid you will need to seek out the assistance of an authorized servicer. Good Luck PS please do not forget to rate this thread

Eclipse avn 5435 deck plays fine but once in a blue moon no sound comes from it. Only using rca on unit, gps works fine. I unplug all connectors and then works fine.

Jess, do a wiggle test on cables when you have volume, wiggle wires one at a time to see if sound goes out or static.

The deck does not want to eject the CD - Emergency eject also not working what do i do

Possible that the Cd is struck within the head unit. It can be due to mechanism being faulty or the loading motor drive or driver being faulty.
Need to open to check if this can be due to a warped CD that is struck into the mechanism and is not allowing space to be ejected out. Release using soft pressure so as not to damage the delicate mechanism.
However if there is no mechanical problem seen then the fault can be in the servo section/control board.

What does "mecha error" and "error 09" mean?? Did i get a bad deck?

This is an internal problem with the CD/DVD mechanism that can not be repaired without professional services.
This is a very exspensive system and should only be service by qualified service technicians.

Send it back to where you bought it and get them to replace it under warranty if covered if not ask for replacement unit as its a bad unit, Otherwise will cost you loads in getting it repaired.

Mecha error

Otherwise known as a mechanical error. The CD will not eject/insert without assistance. I have found a workaround for this, but have yet to fix it. If you take another CD and hold it inside the CD slot just beneath the ejecting CD, it will help to guide the CD out of the track. I also have to use a similar method to push the disc into the track as well.

My screen displays mecha error

This is an internal problem with the CD/DVD mechanism that can not be repaired without professional service. You can always try running a cleaning disc thru it, but that is unlikely to help.

This is a very exspensive system and should only be service by qualified service technicians.

There are no tricks to getting it to work.

Mecha error

I had the same problem. My unit would not eject CDs. I was able to fix it by hitting the reset button. That restarted the whole unit and reset all the settings as well, but now I'm not having any issues with ejecting CDs.

Mecha error

Mecha error is a Mechanical Error. This means that this is an actual physical malfunction of the unit. Sometimes pressing the reset button can realign some of the mechanics but most often this is a problem that requires to be serviced.

Kvt 815 dvd error

Mecha Error is a Mechanical Error. You can try to do a reset on the unit but in most cases this does not fix the issue but is free to try and sometimes can suprisingly fix these issue. This is pretty much going mean that the unit will need serviced as it can mean the laser is mis-aligned or is no longer working or can even mean something in the mechanics of the unit is jamed. You can go to to look up a service center or call 1-800-kenwood to have them give you a service center to send the unit to.
