If you have an installation disk then reinstall the sound drivers from that disk. If not find out the model of the soundcard and do a Google search for the drivers on the Internet.

Can you give me further details on your concern.

I can suggest you the following
  1. If you have spare speakers / headset try replacing it first.
  2. Check the status of your device under device manager by doing the following.
    - Right click My Computer
    - Click Hardware Tab
    - Select device manager
    - Check from list of devices if you could find a
speaker icon and right click to check status
  3. If the device is working try reinstalling your driver if you don't have the disk you can download it from the internet or send me the model number of your board / sound card.
