Question about Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX Personal Web Camera
I have been told that there is a conflict between the dell sound card and this model logitech stx. the camera and microphone have a problem communincating, it will work properly at first then a feedback loop starts. in that the audio is humming and buzzing stopping all communication, the video remains solid but there is no audio at all. no speaking and no volume control. camera is mounted at keyboard level the speakers are on a twelve inch shelf two feet above camera against wall. there is no feedback between speaker and microphone. dell tells me that its a software and hardware problem of this particular model. both dell and logitech say its not their problem. even creative labs says its not their problem.(dell sound card) has anybody heard of any fixes for this problem?
If this is definately a compatability problem, you should take the cam back and exchange for a compatible one before you have had it too long to exchange. Ask the shop advice and if there is still a problem then atleast it's the shops fault in advising you wrongly.
