Hi

You can get a circuit for your amp from here.

Not sure what you electronics ability is, but if I were repairing the amp, I would look to check that there is audio getting through the opamp stage 1C, then the function of the FET 2N3819 to provide the vibrato effect. It has an oscillator driving its gate, that too should be checked for operation. I know it is not a "do this to fix it" repair, but without being able to do these checks with an oscilloscope on the amp, nobody can say for sure what the problem is. If you have any questions, I am happy to talk to you about the amp. Good Luck with the repairs.

Zone 2 is mute with optical input

You can't use a digital input in zone 2. Only analog inputs can be used.

Hi, I have a Harman Kardon AVR 300 that I picked up at a local sale. When I power it on, it switches fine to each input except the AM/FM tuner (the preset, tuning, & tuner mode buttons don't seem to...

Hello Sir, Hi, you may try the following
  1. try cleaning the switches
  2. if this does no solve the problem, its the selector circuit. this may be digital, so you need to search the IC that selects the FM mode both with tuning. this is fair complicated.
  3. buy a cheap separate FM tuner, run it on auxiliary input.

Definitive Technology Mythos STS SuperTower loudspeaker are a good match for a NAD M3 integrated amplifier?

Hello,
For the most part, it depends on the power output of the amp and the requirement of the speakers. Its a good idea to have at least 10% more power at your amp than what your speakers require.Find out what those values are if you don't already know and that will give you a better idea

There should be an 8 pin IC close to the input jack that will be marked 4558 or 4560. This is an Op-amp Ic that is the most likely cause of the problem. Replace that IC and report the results here.

HELLO I HAVE 670ZX WITH OLD STYLE VU METERS. EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT EXCEPT THE VU METERS ARE SLOWING TO A STOP ALMOST. THERE IS OUTPUT ON BOTH CHANNELS AND IT SOUNDS GREAT BUT...........METERS ARE FAILING.

hi, a vu meters is a coil with a magnetic field, if it is slowing to stop, probably the coil is to old and you have to calibrate it (specialist) the best for you: replace the vu meter.

Shows to be stuck in Standby.

hold down the enter button and the advanced surround button for 5 seconds or so and the amp will restart, the display will come up and hopefully it will be ok. its often caused by using speakers under 8 ohms, or damaged speaker cables etc

My receiver doesn't sound enough

If you have low sound, i would first advice you to double check all of the Tape Monitor switch, and make sure they are not turned on. If there is zero volume, I would say you have a problem with the output curcuit, and or the power supply section on this unit. if you know how to work on solid state equipment, get a schematic diagram, and state from there. If you do not have any repair experience, Im sorry to tell you my freind, there are no user replaceable parts in this unit. There is no quick fix for this unit. Good Luck Please do not forget to rate this thread.

Center speaker not working

Yes Mark, You have a problem with a componet with that center channel. If your not a tech, dont have a schematic, or dont have any training in troubleshooting solid state electronics, unhook everythuing and take it into a repair senter for an estimate, as unless you know how to chech the parts you can cause more damage to the unit as it takes one slip and boom, all gone. Good Luck
