This camera is not designed for use in extremely low light. The sensor needs ample light to record a clear picture. You can compare this to using different speeds of film and needing to leave the shutter open for a longer time during night photography with still cameras. Unfortunately, there is no fix for this other than buying a light to use with the camera...unless it has an infrared setting (but then, everything would be green)

No. The DSC-HX1 will not let you view videos on an external screen as you record.

My screen is blue and it wont let me see anything

Hello
Your TV is not getting any signal at all to process, or the tuner inside your TV is faulty. Blue back screen comes, when there is no signal to any of its input or faulty tuner. Just connect the tV with any other video source, like VCR or DVD , connected to its AV terminals and set the tV to take input AV, and check whether picutre comes in or not. If picture comes with AV connection, make sure that your tVs tuner is faulty and should be replaced. If no picutre comes with AV connections too, the Chroma Ic insie your TV is faulty, and should be replaced. OK.

Taking pictures

You may have turned off the viewing screen mode. I've turned my off just to save the battery. There should be a setting/mode so that can at least scroll thru to view the images you've shot. As for the Busy Message my best guess is the memory cards full. My camera (a kodak) has the option to save images to a very small, useless internal memory or another card. Perhaps yours offers same - so switch to large memory. As for zooming in as close as you can, you may want to visit a state that's closer. Yea as you can see the zooms on the Point & Shoot cameras are very limited. Its only good for zooming into things that are just a very short distance away.
