You want to hook up the cables to any of the VGA input sets. Red= right audio channel, White= left audio channel, Yellow= Video. Don't plug them into the sets that have Red, , Green, and blue inputs. Just the set with red, white and yellow. Now you won't get HD from this since it's not bluray or HD-DVD. Just be sure you select the corresponding input on the TV when you want to use the DVD player. For example, select input 1 from the on screen display if that's the one you plugged it into.

Connect via hdmi. If hdmi cable isn't available them plug up component (red/green/blue) or composite cables (red/white/yellow). On since DVD players you also have the ability to use audio cables (red&white)

Hooking up the DVD player is considerably an easy task to carry out. First you have to ensure that the DVD player is meant for your country as various countries support different voltages. Next you should get a compatible RF cable UK models use a 21 pin chord while other countries use the normal jack pin to jack pin. The chord usually comprises of three cables A red, white and Yellow. Yellow goes to video out both ways while the other two colors go to audio out. DVD usually have only one yellow port behind them and the sound ports are usually labeled audion out. Hope this solution has been helpful?
Are you using component video (red/blue/green) rca jacks, or composite video input (yellow) rca jack? You need to match the color but watch out and do not get confused with the red and white RCA for audio.

hi my name is mark, if you have cables. first unplug the power cords to the vcr and the receiver. on the back of the vcr there will an input and an output audio and video connectors. if your vcr does not have them you will need a new vcr that does. if you just want sound, find the Output connectors. there will two. they will be idenified as Audio OUT. plug one end of the red plug into the one labeled Audio R OUT, then the white in the one labeled Audio L OUT. if you are connecting the video up connect the yellow plug to the connector labeled Video OUT. the other ends connect to the receiver, on the back of the reciever find connectors labeled vcr or dvd AUDIO IN. then connect the red plug to the connector labeled R IN and the white plug to the connector labeled L IN.if you are just hooking up sound you done. to hook up video find vcr dvd Video IN and connect the yellow plug to the Video IN. on reciever. if you want the reciever to switch the TV you also need to run a yellow video cable from Video Out from receiver to Video IN on back of TV. when finished plug in vcr and receiver. select dvd or vcr on receiver to listen ot vcr on the receiver i dont know what model you have or it features i hope this helps thanks for your question.
Connect the DVD to the back of the set on AV2 red white and yellow rca cable . Then to the other end to the DVD red white and yellow. Turn the DVD on and press play. On the tv remote below the number 7 there is an AV button. Press that button and put the tv to AV2. Your DVD picture should be there.
