Question about DXG Technology DXG-321 Digital Camera

Open Question

Not functioning I've changed batteries a couple of times thinking this was the problem; no help, When I slide the back to use the view finder, the camera should turn on. Absolutely nothing happens. It acts totally dead. Is there an "internal" battery that I'm not aware of? Thanks. Danni

Fujifilm FinePix S1600 The monitor display is not working. Can it be replaced and if so how easy is it?

It could be that you have it set for EVF which means that you are using the tiny view finder instead of the LCD screen? It should have a button close to the view finder labeled EVF/LCD, you can alternate between the LCD screen or the tiny viewfinder? This function if mainly to conserve battery power or if you are out in the sun and cannot frame a shot and so you use the view finder like the old cameras, hope this might help you?

My camera was working fine one day and would not come on the next time I tried to use. I've put new battery in and this is not the problem. Can you help?

Do you hear anything when the camera is turned on? Perhaps you're just not seeing the display on the View Panel? When you flip a tiny switch, which I've done accidentally, it turns off the panel display so that you can only look through the view finder. Each camera is different, so be sure to check your manual to locate this switch.

After you turn the camera OFF. You may also want to check your battery placement. One incorrect placement will cause the camera to be "dead". Also look into the battery compartment to make sure a battery has not leaked on the leads. If you can't see the metal on any of them you may want to carefully clean it using a small Q-Tip or a pencil eraser. If you use an eraser be sure you get all the left over residue out of the chamber afterwards.

You've probably already tried these things, but hopefully it will help to get your camera working again.

Good luck!

Images thru view finder are blurry

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Query Regarding No Display on LCD (view finder) in Canon Digital IXUS 750

With the camera on, have you tried pressing the DISP button once? It's the lower left button on the back of the camera. It manually turns the display on or off as desired to save batteries (you can then aim through the optical viewfinder).
