Pioneer deh-p8600 Motorized face not functioning

The face on my pioneer 8600 no longer functions properly. When the eject button is pressed, the face comes out only half way and does not eject the cd. I've reset the unit by using both the reset button and disconnecting the power, but the same happens. I was told that the ribbon that is connected to the face may need to be changed. If anyone has an idea of the part number and where i can source this, it would be of great help. [email protected]

I have just experienced the same exact problem. I am wondering how to fix this, or do i need to scrap and buy a new head unit.

My pioneer 8600 has the same issue. When the eject button is pressed, the face comes out only half way and does not eject the cd. I'm listening to the same CD. Can anyone help. Please

I started to have this same problem yesterday. The ribbon is fine and all the teeth are on the wheeles. It almost seems like the face is too heavy for the unit to move. I am going to try to help it open all the way without too much force as someone else said they do. I hope it works because I am sick of the CD that's stuck in there.

You can assist the face in going all the way down, once it is in this position it will automatically eject the cd. When the face starts to come down simply help it/gently force it to go the entire way with your hand, mine has the same issue and this is what I do everytime and it seems to work fine.
