The part is called and "F" connector. It can be purchased but it also muist be soldered in place. This is not a trivial task. The F connector is part of the tuner. For a set of this size, it may be easier to replace the tuner rather than fool around with a repair attempt. Depending upon how it was broken, the PC board inside the tuner may be broken as well requiring tuner replacement anyway.

Yea i have a 52 in rear projection hdtv and i went to move it and the cable piece itself broke off and now the tv power light blinks three times and jus shuts off how can i fix that

the cable connector being broke more than likely has damaged the tuner. sometimes the tuner can be rebuilt depending on the damage. since the set is shutting down there may be more damage. if the set stayed on you might be able to bypass it using vcr. the worst case the small signal board might need replaced that cost aroun 300

No HDMI audio at all.

Could be lots of things, from bad cable, to your laptop no outputting sound, to your tv not functioning properly. A work-around might be to use the VGA output (and sound output) from your laptop until you can resolve it better.

If you have Direct TV HD the best way is to use a HDMI to DVI cable. If you only have the component (red/green/blue)connectors on the Direct TV Box that would be the best way. You will not have audio using the DVI cable, so you will have to run Red/White cable to the Audio Input.

No sound, no picture

when the connector breaks off on these the tumer can become grounded. this can lead to a shutdown situation. In the shop we have been known to repair the tuner. if we can. otherwise we would replace the tuner. we would need to inpect the board with the tuner on it make sure the board hasnt become damaged. replaceing this board requries specal eu\quipment.

Is the DVD player connected to the TV via component cables? If so you should have 5 connectors total that will bring picture and audio information to the TV.

Cable connector broken

You can buy replacement antenna jacks for this. What you have to do is remove the tuner and it's shields, then unsolder the little tab off the board of the tuner which is what remains when they break off. Then you can resolder the new jack in place and the center pin back to the board of the tuner.
