Orange lamp light stays on - Mitsubishi VS-50111 50" Rear Projection Television

COULD HAVE HOUR COUNT LAMP LOCKUP YOU WILL NEED TO RESET HOUR COUNTER BY USING BUTTON CONFIG AND MAINS.

I have a wd-57731 The lamp light blinked orange. i replaced the lamp turned the tv on and the timer blinks green for one minute and then the lamp light blinks orange again. It won't turn on. Can you suggest anything?

If the Lamp light and power lights are blinking orange, the lamp driver has failed, and the projector will automatically shut down. Unplug the power cord from AC mains wall socket, wait for three minutes and replug and see whether it helos you. If not, contact Dell service center.

remove lamp assy and see if is bad,4 year is abouth time fornew lamp.

This would be "Standby"
When you press standby, the display and audio turn off and a blank screen is displayed for 15 minutes.
You can change the amount of time the projector stays in standby mode; see “Standby Time” on page 27 for details.
The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
• If you press standby again within 15 minutes, the projector returns to normal operations immediately. The LED changes from orange to green.
• If you press standby again after 15 minutes, there is about a 60 second delay before the lamp turns back on. The LED flashes green while the lamp is re-lighting.
• If you don’t press standby again, the lamp turns off after 15 minutes. The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.

could be need new lamp

how old is the tv?
is this the first lamp?
usually get 10000 hours use out of one lamp

Press and hold the Mute button on the remote and at the same time press the Enter button on the TV until the Reset menu appears. Press Center button on remote to clear hrs. Your done!

Most of the time this is caused by a defective lamp. If the light blinks the number of blinks is a failure code.

if lamp replacement doesnt fix the problem then you are looking at a light engine
