I am having problems with turing on my laptop and also the speakers have stopped working.
I also have problems starting up my HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook PC. I have to press the start button many times before it will start. Sometimes after pressing the button 20 or 30 times and it hasn't started, I can press and hold start button for 4 or 5 seconds and can, by then, get results. Would sure like to fix this problem before I can't ever start it period.
Hi, my problem was that I had trouble turning my laptop on. It had been getting worse over the last couple of years. It was suggested that the power button should be replaced. While searching the HP site on how to do this, I ran across a solution that said to take out the battery, unhook anything else that might be connected to the laptop, and then press the power button for around 10 seconds to drain all remaining power out. Then put battery back in and try to turn on. It worked! My laptop now turns on and off just fine! Hope this can help someone else....Linda P

If it will turn back on and it jus keeps doin that,,,blow sterio out ,,,dust will cause that,,also check ,,if you have to replace speaker wire,,one little place in wire will do that everytime,,new sterios do that to protect reciever,,auto shut off,,,
you may be close to a strong magnetic field ie tv or sterio speakers ect move away from magnetic source some tv engineers or com engineers have a wand type tool thats moved over the screen which will restore it or sometimes you just wait and eventually it will right its self. hope this helps.
this types of problem come from the sound section of the laptop motherboard. your laptop contains sterio sound system. problem is one channel of the sound circuit faulty. but it is too dificult to repare it.
u can do one think, u can stop one channel sound by using sound balancing option from the task bar volume control option.
also u can contact with Acer service centre.
cd players work without use of volume controls coax cables hook up's and then by setting reciever to proper button so sound can come out
you might have had a power surge that fried your system but lets look at easy stuff first
lines in properly and connected
test on an old sterio with speaker hook ups and test your speakers by plugging in to old beat box
make sure wires are not scorched
turn on receiver fm see if speakers work change channels to sterio and mono settings if speakers start to work on sterio or mono setting chances are power surge blew out your system
hope this worked
