Is the Gateway DX4300 having problems while installing the drivers after sleep mode
or does it have these problems during the laptop is turned on.
Always make sure you download the right drivers for your system.
If you installed Windows Vista after you had formatted the system and now your trying
to install them you might want to go on another system and download all of the drivers either on an external hard drive or an SD card so everything can be accessible.
After you install Windows Vista or 7 make sure that the compatibility mode is selected while installing the drivers.
Most of Gateway drivers are Windows XP so you have to go and right click on each and every driver and change the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2 that way when you let it install then Windows Update will activate to perform updates for hardware drivers and software applications. It will also get the KB updates for your computer.
This will probably fix the sleep mode and improve it too.

1. Go on Gateway's site
2. Download the DX4300-11 drivers and make sure its directly from
Gateway on a SD card or external hard drive.
3. Change the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2
and let it run as administrator.
Each driver will then install and then you will fully use
your computer's capability.
After the drivers are installed then change your power options
as it will continue to install your drivers.
Check to make sure that your battery is fully charged and is plugged in
if it is. If not plug in for charging the battery.
If all fails then you will need to replace the motherboard.

Hi, The solution to fix the problem is by changing your power supply. Just make sure that you replace it with a 500W or higher and not with the same 300W which does not have enough power for this system, plus it is defective. I have changed the power supply to 4 diferent gateway PCs same model dx4300. And all 4 are working perfect. And run a check disk on CMD to fix the disk errors that were created every time you unplugged it and turned it on again.

Would that be the Gateway DX4300-15E?

I have the same pc my power supply went bad after 2 weeks.Pack up the pc and return it ASAP I have nothing but problems with mine.Gateway use to make good pcs, those days are gone,mine was a gift and I had to keep it.
