Casio EX-Z57 Flash not working

I dropped my camera accidentally at a bar (I was a little drunk, ok alot) It wasn't a terrible drop and the camera still functions partially. It's the flash that's not working, whenever I try to take a picture with it on, the camera focuses and it tries to shoot but nothing happens and the little red light on it blinks until I turn it off or switch the flash off. It takes pictures fine when I turn flash off. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Pictures without flash usually come out blurry D:

Try resetting your camera and see if that helps. Sometimes it does. In REC mode press menu go to setup tab go up to reset press right arrow & highlight reset press set. If that doesn't work you are probably going to have to send it in.

I lost driver for casio ex-z57

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Why won't Kingston SDHC 4 gb card work in Casio EX Z57 camera

The EX-Z57 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While an SDHC card will fit into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

I have a casio exilim ex-z60 which I bought 2 yrs ago. I've had problems with my flash going off each time I turned on and off the camera, about 5 months ago. Now the flash does not work. Need help on how to restore the flash bulb or battery in the camera.

Casio EX-Z57

Try playing with the background or lighting - ex: take pics during the day versus nite... use a white/light colored background versus something dark.

Make sure you have the flash set to "auto" or try the "red eye" setting.. I've had good luck with both of those.

Also make use of the zoom. Stand farther back and zoom in - versus being close up and NOT using the zoom.

Hope this helps :)

I have five Casio EX-Z57 different parts: lense, LCD, etc., broke in each set.

you are correct, casio solders their backlight to the circuit board. If you look at my website: http://digitalcamerarepair.googlepages.com, I have a tutorial for the ex-s500/600, the lcd unit is similar, so you can get an idea of how to change it.

Ugh i dropped the camera on the side of the lens

Call the repairs center at 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1. There is nothing that you can do yourself to fix it. Your lcd might even says "lens error". Even if it doesn't go ahead and call them and send it in.

Scroll problem

If the camera is dropped it needs to be sent in. Resetting the camera isn't going to help. Call the repairs center at 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1. They will be able to help you get your camera fixed.
