How do you manually install a netgear wg111v2 without disk and computer can read it?

Best option may be to use a computer with an internet connection, go to netgears website, locate the product you own and download the driver onto a thumb drive and use that file to install the driver on the computer with the wireless adapter.

How to use it and what its for

This is a USB wireless antenna. If you install this on your computer you will have the ability to access the internet without having to plug into a LAN (Local Area Network). Now, this does not mean that you get free internet, unless one of you neighbors is broadcasting a wireless signal and has left it open for everyone to Bogart on. It just gives you the ability to wirelessly connect to any wireless network that you have authorization to access. Your own for instance. Set up in your own home. The coffee shop, the bookstore, mcdonalds, etc.
Here is a link for the support driver if you need it. Don't forget to rate this solution high for me please. http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/713

The blue light on my wg111v2 in not flashing. is it because i did a system recovery on my pc with the usb plugged in ?

You will need to install the drivers for the wireless adaptor. The flashing blue light simply indicates that there is activity (communications) with a wireless access point.
You can find the drivers for it here;

The software for the netgear WG111v2 installs however when it gets to the point where it asks you to insert the adapter, once inserted into any of the 6 usb's the computer freezes (and the mouse). It says...

HI,

It seems to be an issue with the security software on your computer. Disable antivirus and firewalls on the computer and then retry the installation.

To isolate the issue better, please try to install the adapter on another computer.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Wg111v2

Hi!

Well, it asks you for the login code, if you havent set that code then its set by the manufacture, it should be in the manual who came together with your netgear, it looks like something like this:
ACFG-ABF2-0EDF-11AD-CDFE-A,
Try to find it in the manual.

Good luck to you
