LCD Screen Sony DSC P100

The LCD for our sony cybershot dsc p100 is broken. A new screen from Sony costs something like A$235. It's a 1.8" screen. Does anyone know if any other cameras use the same sony screen? eg. Canon? I've been trying to find something on ebay. Alternatively, does anyone have an old or broken dsc p100 with an intact lcd screen?

if it takes a picture then it is a broken lcd screen... if it does not then it is a broken sensor and lcd screen... with the menu not showing that has nothing to do with the sensor just the screen.

I dropped my sony cybershot and now there is nothing on the display screen except vertical colored lines on the right side.
The screen is damaged, you will need to replace it or take it to a camera repair shop.

Hi there, I now have two Cybershot DSC-T10 with broken LCD's. The best remedy that I have found is buy a parts camera with a good LCD on EBAY. You can get the whole camera for way cheaper than you can buy a new LCD.

this has happened to me a few times and all you do is make sure you take out your memory card, push in the reset button for about 3 seconds and it will work again!

Seems like something is crushed internally a connector perhaps- A repair manual -Huh! They don't even repair them. Live with it or buy another But try Sony customer support- you will see what I mean
