At first the device worked perfectly. When I tried to delete the existing music and load different songs using the "my computer" function, I apparently erased the driver and all of it's files. I, now, realize I should have simply reformatted it. This was the first time I tried to change songs on the device and I didn't know I was deleting anything unretrievable. The Windows XP operating system loaded a default MTP driver when prompted but Windows Media Player 11 will not detect the mp3 player, even though is shows up as "audio device" on the "my computer" window. Is there some kind of a software download to replace the missing files. I feel that this could have happened to anybody.

-   When I change the battery, it has a "File System" error on it, too. I've tried deleting the songs and putting them back on and nothing, same thing. BUT, if I put in the old battery (one that is almost dead) it works... till the battery runs out of juice, then back to fighting with the new battery or trying to find a used battery.
For some reason, I can not use a fully charge battery! -   mrmb2003
