Question about Computers & Internet
I upgraded my asus r2h bios to 207 version got a successfully installed promt that hanged. i pulled the battery after that all i have is a dead asus. no lights no sound. i tried bios recovery using a usb powered external floppy no lights on floppy.
You need to put the battery back in, try to find an IDE floppy drive to use and if the new bios version hangs then download the old BIOS and reinstall that -a computer that hangs is not a successful install or the upgrade is wrong. Pulling the battery doesn't revert to the old BIOS, just default settings for the BIOS installed. Using a USB floppy for this is not a good idea as the usb drivers must load -might as well use a thumb drive if this is a laptop. For a desktop stick with the basic IDE floppy drive. Best of luck, Steve Medley
